The Whatcom Marine Mammal Stranding Network (WMMSN) is a volunteer-based non-profit organization that received  official recognition from the National Marine Fisheries Service in 2008.  For the five years prior to that we operated as a sub-group of the National Marine Mammal Lab.

As a group, we are interested in promoting three primary themes with regards to marine mammals (see our Mission Statement):
