The Mission of the Whatcom Marine Mammal Stranding Network is to promote the conservation of marine mammal species and their habitat by providing the rescue and humane care of live and dead stranded marine mammals, conduct investigations of stranding science, and increasing public awareness through education, in accordance with the Marine Mammal Protection Act, as amended.
